Under 18 and Thinking about the GED?

Young adults under the age of 18 are required to be enrolled in an Adult Program a minimum of 12 hours of intensive instruction prior to taking the GED.

17 year old students are sometimes allowed to take the GED, but hardship, prior approval from the School Board office, and a minimum score of 450 on each subtest on the Official GED Practice Test must be achieved before you will be considered for early testing. Parents or guardians must write a letter to Mr. Yoder and the school board relaying the reasons/hardship.

Students aged 16 are not allowed to take the GED unless there is extreme hardship and they also meet the requirements above. For more information call (850) 674-8661 or (850) 674-6490.
